Yancy Bowling Jr., age 82, of Fowlerville, died Mon. July 5, 2010 at home. He was born Feb 29, 1928 to Yancy & Wilda (Largin) Bowling. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea. He was a carpenter for RTB Construction, enjoyed Lamereaux Lake and loved to fish & hunt. Surviving are 6 children: Diane Goslin of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born Nov. 22, 1929 in Detroit and was a typist for General Motors and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She married Edward “Pete” Ball, who preceded her in death in 1994. Surviving are her son: David (Robin) Ball of Fowlerville, 2 grandchildren: Edward & Ellen and brother: Robert Hood of Tucson. Theresa B . Linderman, age 86, of Fowlerville, died Mon. June 21, 2010. She was born March 2, 1924 in Howell to William & Mabel (Forton) Smyth. She married Nelson Linderman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell on Sept. 24, 1966. She worked at Hillcrest in Howell and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. James Sharp Talbot, age 83 of Howell, died at home Sat., June 19, 2010. He was born January 24, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to John & Alice Mary (Sharp) Talbot. He served in WWII with the US Navy. He married Ilene in Detroit on June 22, 1946. James owned an insurance agency in Northville, Michigan for many years. He was a member of VFW and St. Agnes Catholic Church. He enjoyed Golf and American Flyer model trains. Surviving are his wife of 64 years: Ilene, 7 daughters: Linda (Robert) Steiner, Karen Talbot, Janet (Monte) Duncan, Ginger Talbot, Marie (Joseph) Shebuski, Joyce Talbot and Beverly Fairbanks. 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Donna L. Sampey, age 70, of Fowlerville, died Wed.June 16, 2010 at home. She was born July 21, 1939 to Stephen & Mildred (Wynkoop) Yasecko. She married Ron W. Sampey on Aug. 30, 1957 in Mt. Clemens. Richard F. Lee, age 79, of Brighton, formerly of Fowlerville, died May 28, 2010. He was born Feb. 17, 1931 in Detroit to Charles G. & Norma (Wright) Lee. He married Elizabeth Bootz in Detroit in 1963, she survives him. Mr. Lee was a veteran of the US Air Force, an art teacher for Detroit Public Schools and active in the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Edward Michael “Mike” Heinrich, age 83, died Sat. May 15, 2010 in Williamston. He was born March 22, 1927 in Lansing to Edward & Mary (Mueller) Heinrich. He was a 1945 graduate of Fowlerville High School and married Eleanor Brown on Aug. 31, 1963 in Mason. Mike was a farmer, did custom combining for 43 years and owned Heinrich Grain Systems,was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, St. Agnes Men’s Club, Webberville Lions Club and was a private pilot. Richard D. Gamber, age 85, of Fowlerville, died Friday May 14, 2010. He was born Dec. 4, 1924 in Huntington, Ind. to Clyde and Florence (Lambright) Gamber and married Iris E. Dennis in Hillsdale on Dec. 17, 1946. He was a veteran of the US Army in WWII and worked at Mastercast/Utilex from 1956 to 1974. Dick was a member of Fowlerville First United Methodist Church and DAV #125 in Howell. Karla loved being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed her flowers and her dogs. He was born January 29, 1931 in Pinsonfork Kentucky to Martin and Dicy (Wolford) Ball and married Anna (Boles) on New Year’s Eve in 1961. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He served as a deacon at Deerfield Primitive Baptist church. He worked for Pelton Crane, Holly Carburetor, Detroit Diesel, and after 30 year’s of service retired from General Motors in 1989. He enjoyed family, friends,being outdoors ,hunting, working with fire wood, and raising a garden and training his beagles. Surviving are his wife Anna, 2 children, Kathy (Tony) and Zachary, and 3 Grandchildren, Brigitte, Katelyn, and Miranda. brother: Claude, 3 sisters: Roberta, Josephine, and Betty. Arthur L. Buell, age 84, of Perry, died Mon. March 29, 2010. He was born Oct. 31, 1925 to Arthur L. & Merry Grace (Hoskins) Buell. He married Rosemarie (Palmer) on Sept. 15, 1945. He was a dairy farmer and truck driver. Art collected John Deere tractors, was a member of the Genesee Valley 2 cylinder club, was an avid Tigers fan and enjoyed going to Florida for the winter. Thelma Mildred Winegar, age 88, of Fowlerville, died Sun. March 21, 2010. She was born May 5, 1921 to Earl & Mildred (Dean) Sherwood and was a 1938 graduate of Fowlerville High School. After high school she was a waitress at a local restaurant and worked at Howell Electric Motors. She married Duane Winegar on June 10, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2003. Thelma was a cook at Fowlerville Public Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 1983, a life long member of Fowlerville United Brethren in Christ Church and the Handy Sunshine Club. Surviving are 3 children: Lee (Rebecca) Winegar of Beavercreek,OH, Judith (Thomas) Stumpfig of Eaton Rapids and Don (Linda) Winegar of Sonoma, Cal., 3 grandsons and 1 step-granddaughter and sister: Ethel Hickok of Lansing. Hugh O. Palmerton, age 91, of Fowlerville, died Sun. March 21, 2010 at Argentine Care Center. He was born Aug. 29, 1918 in Fowlerville to Claude & Frances (Dickinson) Palmerton. He married Adeline C. Ferrante on Oct. 8, 1941 in Angola, Indiana. Hugh served in the US Army during WWII in Germany Italy, North Africa and France, worked for 29 years at Cleveland Metal & Abrasive in Howell and was a Dairy farmer, he was very proud of the nationally known herd of Jersey cattle that he and his sons developed. He also was an auctioneer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching baseball (especially the Tigers). Hugh always grew a large garden. Surviving are his wife: Adeline, 4 children:Claude, Francis (Patricia), both of Fowlerville, Nancy (Michael) Hartman of Alabama, Mary Lou Prestonise of Byron, 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren and his sister: Myrna Harlacher of Morris. Gladys M. Huff, age 69, of Brighton, died Thurs. March 18, 2010. She was born Aug. 3, 1940 in Java, Virginia to Garland P. & Elsie W. (McGregor) Hughes. She married David Huff on Nov. 26, 1988. Gladys worked at Packaging Corporation of America, enjoyed building bird houses and bird feeders, gardening and spending time with her family. John A. Wheeler, age 81, died Wed. March 3, 2010. He was born Dec. 25, 1928 in Detroit. He married Dorothy Wheeler, who died in 1989. John then married Rose Letwinski in Indiana in 1990. He owned the Horseshoe Bar and the Wrangler and was a member of St.Agnes Catholic Church, VFW and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the US Army. John was a great father and liked to have fun. Karen L. Masten, age 57of Howell, died Wed. Feb. 24, 2010. She was born Jan. 2, 1953 in Detroit to Ernest & Vera (Deaven) Taylor and married Rick Masten in Northville in 1983. She was a rural mail carrier for the Fowlerville Post Office, retiring in Oct. 2009. She respected her job at the Post Office. Karen was a very loving person who put everyone else before herself. Donald T. Andrizzi, age 75, of Howell, died Sun. July 5, 2009 . He was born April 2, 1934 in Detroit to Frank & Helen (Adams) Andrizzi. He married Donna Muxworthy in Detroit on Sept. 8, 1956. Don was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea and retired from the Detroit Police Department as a Sargent in 1987 and then worked as a Security Officer at Botsford Hospital. He married Victoria (Toms) Dec. 29, 1980 in Fowlerville. He was a member of UAW Local 564 and member of Wayside Tabernacle Church. He worked for GM, Lake Orion retiring in 2004 after 37 years. Beatrice Irene Dutton age 92 of Byron, formerly of Cheboygan Michigan, went to be with her Lord on Thursday May 21. She was born on May 26, 1917 to Elmer and Sophia (Trudeau) Wing. She married Charles Elmer Dutton in Redford , Michigan on Nov. 20, 1935. He preceded her in death, 1985.
