Scott and Kim Niblack purchased the Dillingham Funeral Home in 1990 from Gale and Mary Dillingham. The Dillinghams started the funeral home in 1961 by adding a small addition to their farmhouse and purchasing some of the equipment from the closed Vogt Funeral Home at 223 N. Grand Ave. The Vogt family ran the funeral home for about 50 years, closing it after WWII. The Dillinghams also ran an ambulance service with the funeral home; this was common in small towns during that time. In 1987 the Dillinghams added a large chapel to the west side of the building and converted the previous funeral home space to a large lobby.

In 1999 the Niblacks purchased the Liverance Funeral Home, the building that is currently the Fowlerville Village offices at 213 S. Grand Ave. The Liverance funeral home was founded in 1932 by Lorrain C. "Dutch" Liverance. He began the business at 410 W. Grand River, and later moved to the larger home on South Grand.

Scott Niblack is a fifth generation funeral director whose family have been funeral directors in Michigan since 1802, beginning with his great-great-uncle who had a funeral home in Pittsford. His great-grandfather then moved to Hillsdale, and his grandparents and father to Britton, Michigan.
